William "Bill" Guerrero, ’93 (CLAS)
Vice President for Finace/CFO of the University of Bridgeport
Bill Guerrero is an innovator in education, with more than 20 years of experience in higher
education administration. He currently serves as the vice president for Finance and CFO at the
University of Bridgeport, a private university in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Here, he leads efforts
for effective long-term financial sustainability, planning and annual budgeting, finance,
accounting, treasury and student financial services. Bill is also a renowned national speaker and
frequent podcast guest on topics such on digital transformation, change management, risk
management, entrepreneurship, non-tuition revenue, and the overall financial sustainability and
business model of higher education.
Watching his mother start her own family daycare in the 1980s after recognizing an opportunity
in the shift to dual-income parents, Bill grew up witnessing the power entrepreneurship has to
transform lives. Throughout the years, he has served as an adjunct faculty teaching
entrepreneurship, business ethics primarily helping a variety of start-up businesses, and was the
founder/president of Purchase Park 2 Fly, a discount airport parking business serving
Westchester County Airport. Bill has also taken his leadership skills to the plate as a longtime
head baseball coach for D3 Purchase College, SUNY, receiving numerous honors during his
coaching career.
