At the spring AI in Healthcare Conference, student teams will build solutions to real-world healthcare challenges in a hackathon, then pitch them to judges and mentors from healthcare, tech, and academia.

Formula SAE challenges students to conceive, design, fabricate, and compete with small formula-style racing cars.
HackUConn is a ~20-hour marathon event that aims to bring together UConn undergraduate innovators across all majors and industry experts for a non-stop, fast-paced innovation competition. This year’s competition will be happening during the Spring 2027 semester.
Husky Developers is a student-led UConn organization for students interested in technology, coding, and software development. We offer workshops, collaborative projects, and opportunities to learn new skills and connect with fellow builders, making software development accessible to students of all skill levels. Engagement in the Honors Program offers undergraduates an enriched Honors experience through exploration, creativity, and leadership in academics and beyond the classroom.
Innovate Labs allows any and all students to acquire practical technology skills in domains such as AI, data, robotics, digital design, analytics. Students will also learn how to lead, solve problems, and communicate, which are skills that prospective employers desire.

This three-part program builds a foundation in accounting, economics, finance, and capital markets, teaching the investment analysis and research methods used by professional investors. It prepares participants for careers in investment management, banking, venture capital, private equity, and consulting, then advances to Applied Investment Analysis, where they get hands-on experience managing real money in the stock market. The UConn Innovation Zone oversees two makerspaces and recording and editing studio where students can build and create. Through its Students As Makers (SAM) initiative, students take an idea all the way to a working prototype.
Provides pro bono intellectual property law services (patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret) to entrepreneurs, including UConn students.

The program provides summer internships in UConn tech startup companies. Students learn about real world technology innovation and development and become part of the startup team for the summer. Program includes seminar series on tech venture development and every student presents their project results at end of program symposium. Represented by Caroline Dealy
The program pairs students with UConn startup companies in the TIP incubator for mentored summer research and entrepreneurship exposure. Program pays a stipend and is 10 full time weeks long. Under the umbrella of UConn’s Office of the Vice President for Research, Technology Commercialization Services (TCS) works with innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry partners to transform UConn discoveries into products, companies, and jobs that benefit society and fuel economic development.

The Werth Innovators Program is for UConn undergrads in any major who are interested in entrepreneurship and creating something they are passionate about. These students may not know what they want to create or how to do it, but are looking for help in making it happen.
